Stephen Sparks
Stephen was raised in a quaint farming community in southeast Idaho, set in the picturesque Snake River Valley. His childhood involved moving irrigation pipe in the wheat and potato fields and stacking hay under the hot Idaho sun. As he grew older, he took on more responsibilities, driving tractors, and helping with the grain and potato harvest. After finishing high school, Stephen studied History at Utah Valley University with aspirations of becoming a teacher, but life had different plans for him.
A Call To Serve
Stephen's journey began at Utah Valley University, where his passion for military history ignited his decision to join the Army. As a Combat Engineer, he took on the challenge of the Special Forces Assessment Selection, emerging as one of the select few chosen to train as a Special Forces Medic. After earning his green beret and serving with the 1st Special Forces Group for a decade, Stephen chose to prioritize family, dedicating more time to his four children and wife. Now residing in Lewis County, WA, he has rejoined the agricultural community through his work with Western Community Insurance.
